Guatemala 1600 This ensemble of recorders, shawms, voices, dulcians, and percussion offers a fascinating program of 16th century Guatemalan music based on original manuscripts found in pueblos in the region of the Cuchumatan mountain range (state of Huehuetenango, in the northwest corner of Guatemala), sung in Latin, Spanish, Nahuatl, and Jacaltec-Chuj languages.
