The Six Wives of Henry VIII
This acclaimed quartet is joined by soprano Cecile Kempernaers in a musical portrait of the renowned flamboyant English king and his six wives. Contemporary compositions by the Dutch award-winning composer Piet Swerts are juxtaposed with original English ensemble music of Henry VIII and his court composers.

Esteemed British musicologist and Renaissance scholar, David Fallows, will participate in a series of events related to Renaissance music and music scholarship in general. Fallows is also a senior editor of the New Grove Dictionary of Music.
  
April 28 (Thursday) 5:30 – Golda Meier Library Room E281 -- Lecture on the evolution and current status of the New Grove Dictionary and Grove Music Online.
   
April 29 (Friday) 4:00 – Golda Meier Library Room E281 -- Lecture on Josquin, Lucretia Borgia, and Leonardo da Vinci, with a reception to follow.
   
April 30 (Saturday) 10:00 am – NOTE CHANGE OF LOCATION – American Geographical Society Library on the third floor of the Golda Meier Library (east wing) Professor Fallows will be joined by the Flanders Recorder Quartet for a discussion and demonstration on “Music in the Court of Henry VIII.”
