Anne Azéma, Artistic Director of The Boston Camerata, and a favorite singer of EMN audiences, shares her ideas about the origin and nature of early love songs, the overarching theme of desire from a distance, and our hopes for fulfillment during separation. French-born vocalist Anne Azéma is the Artistic Director of The Boston Camerata since 2008. She also directs the Europe-based Ensemble Aziman and the Camerata Mediterranea, touring with them internationally and appearing on all of their CD’s. Her recent festival invitations as a soloist, recitalist or director include Amsterdam, Graz, Dresden, Leipzig, Utrecht, Spoleto, Seville, Versailles, and Jerusalem. Anne’s current discography numbers over 35 recordings as soloist, recitalist or director.
