A Family Gathering

On October 5th, we open our 37th season with a gala concert fundraiser debuting three instruments that were recently donated to the Early Music Now family:

* An Italian Baroque violin attributed to Giuseppe Carlucci, dated 1754 and donated by Joseph & Vivian Newbold of Philadelphia, PA

* A seven-string consort bass viol by Michael Heale, Guilford, UK, commissioned in 1973 and donated by Thallis Hoyt Drake of Milwaukee, WI

* A double-manual French style harpsichord by Willard Martin of Bethlehem, PA, 1993, donated by Frances Bedford of Racine, WI

The instruments will be played by Christine Hauptly Annin, Charlie Rasmussen, and Fumi Nakayama in a Baroque program including works by Vivaldi, Rameau, and Scarlatti.

 

Where: The Great Hall, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (914 E. Knapp St.)
When: Thursday, October 5th, 2023, 7:00 p.m.
Cost: $100 per person ($70 is tax-deductible)

Desserts will be served, along with wine and other beverages.
